One of the best spoken word poems I have ever heard. And with beautiful images/music behind it too. A Finger, Two Dots Then Me.
Breathtaking fusion of over 2000 voices all from youtube videos into one unified and mesmerizing choir. Composed and conducted by Eric Whitacre.
Amen. :-)
God’s grace on earth can be seen in the innocence and beauty of a child.

“You know what? Fuck beauty contests. Life is one fucking beauty contest after another. School, then college, then work… Fuck that. And fuck the Air Force Academy. If I want to fly, I’ll find a way to fly. You do what you love, and fuck the rest”.
- Dwayne
I just saw this French film, Tomboy, on instant Netflix. I purchased it on amazon about 5 minutes after the credits rolled. This simple and tender movie sticks with you. It treats its young subjects with honesty and sincerity, with a tender understanding that is free of sentimentality and never hits a false note. Sweet and resonant, Tomboy reaches out to you with a complex subject about a child struggling with gender identity and expression, and it makes it seem so simple and uncomplicated. Whether this child goes by the name Laure or Mikael, it does not matter. What matters is the innocence and beauty that resonates throughout every scene, and that beauty ingrained in this film cannot help but permeate our lives as well. A must see.
Time, and the sheer limit of it, is a remarkably and surprisingly beautiful thing. There can be no beauty, no joy, without sadness, suffering, death. This paradox is what makes life worth living.
Photographer Edmondo Senatore captures the beautiful interplay of light and atmosphere in the Tuscan countryside.
She is perfect.

This is probably the greatest and most beautiful movie I have ever seen that I don’t understand in the slightest. And I love the mystery in which I find myself. :-)
I am not sure what y’all will think of this, but this video has often helped me be more centered, reflective, and grateful in times of great stress and frustration. It is a great reflection on gratefulness and living with intentionality, from the same Benedictine monk who wrote Deeper Than Words. I hope y’all are well. :-)
Absolutely.
